First: make sure the panel really is the problem
A black screen with working sound is the most misdiagnosed fault in television repair. Nine times out of ten it is not a broken panel at all — it is a failed backlight LED strip, a faulty LED driver section on the power board, or a dead T-CON board. Shine a torch at an angle on the dark screen: if you can faintly see the picture, the panel is perfectly good and only the backlight has failed, which costs a fraction of a panel. We check this before quoting anything, free of charge. Panels are only replaced when the glass itself is physically damaged.
What a panel replacement involves
The set is stripped to the chassis, the failed panel and its driver ribbons are removed in a dust-controlled area, and a matching panel is fitted and re-bonded to the T-CON. Panel part numbers must match the board's timing and resolution, so we identify the exact panel code from the original before sourcing. The set is then reassembled and run for an extended test before it goes back to you.

Can a cracked TV screen be repaired instead of replaced?
No. The liquid crystal layer and the glass are a single sealed assembly. Once it is cracked, the panel must be replaced. Anyone who promises to 'repair' a cracked screen is either replacing the panel or misleading you.
My TV has sound but no picture. Is the screen broken?
Usually not. Shine a torch on the screen in a dark room — if you can faintly make out the picture, the panel is fine and the backlight or power board has failed, which is a much cheaper repair. Bring it in for a free check before assuming the worst.
